Reflexology and Energy Chakra Balance

Balancing the energy chakras through the reflexes on the feet is one of the most beneficial gifts a reflexologist can make to the client.

Balancing the chakras often leaves the client feeling 'grounded', 'centred', 'more together' (clients words). And of course if the energy body is in good shape, there is a better chance of good physical health as well. So all-in-all, a result.

To balance the crown chakra with the base chakra you need only work one foot. Lightly hold both the crown and base chakra reflexes with middle fingers, at the same time. It may take a few seconds before you feel anything and the base chakra may come through more strongly at first. The crown chakra energy is usual lighter. What you are aiming for is a strong pulse that seems to travel between the two points. Try this first of all at the beginning of the treatment. If a balance fails, it will probably be achieved at the end of the treatment if you try again then.

It is interesting to record the strength of the energy in the chakras after each session, then you can tell how effective you are being. I have boxes on my client treatment form to record both the level of the aura and the energy in the chakras. Of course these are likely to change from one treatment to another over time according to the client's current state of emotional and physical health.

i have a client who I think would benefit from balancing their chakras energy. Do you have a chart that shows thier possitions?

I am sorry I don't have charts at the moment, but I am considering publishing soem relating to my work. However I can thoroughly recommend a book by John Cross - Healing with the Chakra Energy System. Lots of charts, diagrams and case studies.

I recently picked up a book (21st Century Goddess) which placed the chakra's along the medial arch of the foot, extending across zone one and partially into zone two. They extended up the foot in order, from heel to the big toe. The run parallel to the related organs.

Thank you for that information. I think there are several publications that show the position of the reflexes relating to the chakras. I tend to use the base and the crown chakra reflexes most of all, but sometimes I work the brow chakra which is the same place as the standard pituitary reflex. I believe that balancing the base chakra with the crown chakra also 'catches' all the chakras in between. The brow chakra, being the third eye, seems to help those clients who are in need of seeing their personal situation more clearly and their future path. Best Regards
